All About You Tell us all about yourself..Okay. I read somewhere once, on someone’s LJ user info I think it was, that people hate it when “I’m married to Jamie” is written in their profile. Their reasoning for this is that we shouldn’t define ourself by the other people in your life. I always thought this was odd, because how better to define yourself than by your closest and most cherished relationships…. So, in saying all that: I am Sarah, I’m 27. I am a Gemini (with sag moon and libra asc) I’m a bit of an Astrology geek but at the same time know virtually nothing about it. I am Married to Jamie. We have two children Tarquin Winter and Lilith Avalon. Tarquin is 4 and Lilith will be 1 in July. I’m fat. I’m telling you this because being fat is very much a part of who I am. It affects how I act, how I speak, what I do, who I talk to, my dreams, my ambitions and my insane need for friends who can’t see me (Hello Internet!!) I’m an INFP, if you google that, and read the description, you will read – precisely – the underlying core of my personality What are some things you find unique about yourself? Hmm… I’m amazingly analytical and logical. I analyse almost everything that happens in my day. Almost everything that is said to me I search for hidden meaning. I’m also one of the most emotional people you’ll meet. I can pick up on other peoples moods and impressions on things without them even speaking. I am painstakingly hard on myself, but all of my inner turmoil often makes it easier for me to relate to almost everyone. I'm absolutely fantastic at assignments and research. My google-fu is strong. Do you have any special talents ? I write fantastic emo poetry when I’m severely depressed. I also cook an absolute killer risotto (and my lasagne’s pretty good too) What are some things you love? I love... love; Fairytale, romantic love (the one that doesn’t really exist lol) I love getting sucked into a book so deeply that when you are distracted you need a minute to come out of character! I LOVE food, good food. Food that you can share with friends around a dinner table whilst sharing philosophies and daily dramas. I love my kids of course. I love being pregnant and having babies. I love babies. I don't like children so much though. What are some things that bother you.? Obesity related discrimination. Anti-fat people, child abuse (in ANY form), people who think that just because they have had depression and beaten it they know what’s best for every other depressed person on the planet. Ignorance and people who refuse to look at other possibilities. Religious intolerance What is something you are very passionate about.? Fat Acceptance. We are not a plague or an epidemic. It is safe to be friends with us, you will not “catch” fat. Also monogomous relationships. I have a real issue with polyamorous relationships. They offend me and make me uncomfortable. Yes this is because I don't understand them. I do not understand why you would need to have more than one person in your life. I've heard people laugh at that and say it's because they are greedy; well I'm greedy to - so greedy in fact that I refuse to share my man with ANYONE. EVER. What is something you really think we should know about you? I’m Hyper-sensitive (bordering on paranoia). Everything you say (type) I will take to heart, even if I don’t know you, even if this is ONLY the internet. Also, as I said before - I'm fat, and everything about me and my life is centred around this fact - it is rarely a good thing, but that does not make me a 'rarely good' person. In actual fact I'm a freaking amazing person with a mind that is full of wonders of charm, it's just wrapped extra thick so that only the worthy ones will get through. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be and why? I would change people’s attitudes to body image (this is real bug bear with me, can ya tell?). I would try and educate people into understanding that being fat doesn’t equate to lower intelligence, unhappiness, less success OR ill-health in EVERY situation! Yes some fat people are unhealthy - guess what LOADS of slim people are dealthy unhealthy too. Being fat is just another state of being; and equally as valid as being slim, young, old, disabled, ill, healthy, euphoric, depressed and so on. What are some of your strong morals? There is really only ONE thing that I am just insanely moral about, and that’s infidelity. Cheating is NEVER ok. There is never ANY excuse. Cybering on the net is cheating. Exessive flirting (ie, when it becomes obviously sexual) is cheating. In a lot of cases Poly relationships are an excuse for cheating. My views on a lot of things are strong and will not waiver. I'm sorry if you are poly and my thoughts on that offend you. I don't hate the people in poly relationships. Marriage should be about love, not race or money or having babies, or sex, or sexuality or because it's expected.
